Photography by Carlos Amat and Yellowhouse Aerial Marking is a series of carved wooden members punctuated by traces of red light that outline the site of the original Fort Calgary in 1875, embodying both its impermanence and dynamic energy. Within the palisade, silhouettes of people from the site’s past and present emerge and recede, echoing the wind’s continual shaping and reshaping of the tall grass landscapes of southern Alberta.
