Integrated into the glass façade of a solar-powered educational facility designed by Busby Perkins and Will Architects (Centre for Interactive Research in Sustainability), a responsive tree image will increase the building’s energy efficiency while filling the atrium spaces with a shifting field of coloured light. The image is inscribed into a pixelated electrochromic interlayer in the glass, blooming and fading in response to sunlight levels.
Location: Great Northern Way Campus, Vancouver BC
