Fluid Movement

FLUID MOVEMENT is inspired by the relationship between the historic Wolverton Memorial Swimming Pool and a newly planted rain garden. Marking a connection between old and new, inside and outside, the sculpture playfully references the function of both spaces as repositories for water while metaphorically exploring their potential contribution to concept of health, both as an extension of self as well as of the built environment.

Four dynamic individual yet related forms reach from out of the garden capturing the power and joy of human movement. Like the mirrored surface of a lake on a calm day, each element becomes like water itself, reflecting the sky and expanding the space around it in an ever changing way.
